Celtic Winter WIP

Here is my update on Celtic Winter. I've spent quite a few hours over the past couple of days on her. I am still woefully behind the other SAL-ers but at least there are more than a few stitches in her now. The gold thread I'm using with Anchor reflecta. I had a hard time with the DMC metallic and petite treasure braid when I was doing Celtic Christmas, and I read somewhere this thread is easier to work with. So far it is pretty good, although two lengths have frayed. I'm not sure I like the gold with the white and grey, something doesn't work for me, maybe it'll look better when more is done. Silver thread would possibly have looked better, but for me silver is just sparkly grey and I would have hated working with it. I'll keep plugging away but for now CW goes back into the drawer until November.

Waiting for Neptune comes out of the cupboard tomorrow - I can't wait to get going on it again!

It would be very hard for me to work on all that white/gray but it is so pretty all finished. I'm sure it's worth it. I'm thinking of doing Celtic Autumn next year. I love the reds and oranges in that one! Great progress!

She looks beautiful!!!!! I love how everyone has started in a different place on their ladies! I love the gold... I hope it will grow on you :-) Have never heard of the metallic you are using, so it will be enjoyable to watch this one progress :-) Can't wait to see your Waiting for Neptune WIP! I really want to start that one... just have to figure out where to put it in my rotation first!
